You can get the latest patch at http://schooldays.us/support.html
Patch 1.02
- Fixed bug that was causing widescreen mode to use the wrong resolution.
Patch 1.01
- Modified game to use a single CPU by default. This may significantly improve stability.
- Opening movies now play in every episode after the first.
- Fixed bug where sound disappears until you delete config.dat.
- Fixed bug where skipping scenes skips choices.
- Patched bug where skipping traps you on a blank screen. If this bug would trigger, it will now return you to the script it left instead of sending you nowhere.
- Fixed various scripting and textual issues, including missing subtitles and rogue Japanese text.
To apply the patch, just install to your School Days install directory.

The patch fixed some stuff which was cool, but like the sex scenes are still weird like they’ll be slow then fast then slow I believe it may be another bug TT^TT
@shadowrifle1: I believe that may just be a limitation of the engine, but if you open a ticket with details at help.jastusa.com, we’ll look into it.
Opening the game for the first time after the patch, I attempted to quickly progress through all the movies using savegames to improve my progress %. At some point during this, the game crashed due to quick scene skipping (a bug which was there before and is still there.) I then reopened the game, only to find that the game no longer recognized my old savegames or the corresponding config file.
I looked at the sekaiproject.com message board discussion page for the patch and at least one other person had the problem of having their savegames no longer work. So this is probably an issue with the patch itself.
(I should note that I set the game to run as administrator so the save/config files were being written into the program folder itself. However, it doesn’t seem to matter if the files are in the program folder or the user virtual store folder–they don’t work either way now.)
@darklion
I have that problem too, but the game after the crash still recognize the save thankfully but yes every time i use x16 or x32 to skip the already watched scenes it ends up crashing.
It usually crashes on a black screen with text, i assume it’s on a scene change.
But on 1.0 it was ok… only crashed on me 1 time… but now crashes almost every time.
And now more than in version 1.0 and 1.01 the game seems to stop briefly on that black screens when changing scenes thus why i assimilated the crashes with that scene changes… i might be wrong but well the game still is playable enough…
it crashes every time on x32 and sometimes on x16 but until now at 4x didn’t.
I noticed more changes with this update.
- now when i pause the game the voice and movie stops but music continues (was not happening in past patches).
- when unpause the voice that was telling the current phrase starts shut up till the next phrase (i noticed that from the start 1.0).
But this patch seems to have solved the opening problem, now it displays the OP on every episode.
It’s a master piece this game! congrats for jast usa and for the original developers.
@darklion: I believe you sent us your save data through the support ticket system. We’ll check it and get back to you soon. Thanks.
I’ve updated to the latest patch. The opening movie still doesn’t play until the start of episode 2 and it has no sound.
@Octopodpie: That’s when the opening is supposed to play for the first time. As for the lack of sound, please check your in-game volume settings. If you still have the problem, please open a ticket at help.jastusa.com
About the crashes when on fast speed (x16 and x32) i changed the affinity of the game with the CPU from just 1 core to all of them (i have a core i5) and seems fine now.
I’m still getting a black screen when I try to put the game on 16:9, full screen. I can only get the 16:9 to work on window and 4:3 on full. Is this normal? =/
@Kamille: Try setting your monitor to 1280×720 before switching to fullscreen. If that doesn’t work, please open a help ticket at http://help.jastusa.com
may i ask how to install this HQ patch? sorry, i’m not into tech. everytime i try to install the patch, it asks for a folder, so i always direct it to the folder of my installed schooldays game, but the “next” will not light up even though i tried every folder in that installed game. how is this, makoto?
is it possible to add 16:10 ratio? 16:9 is not displayed correctly on 16:10 monitors
@kristoff: Try navigating to the Overflow folder instead of the SCHOOLDAYS HQ folder.
@desertrabbit: I’m afraid that is not possible.
Makoto, I already tried that as well. Isn’t it this patch should be installed in the folder to which the School Days game itself is installed? (right click icon of school days and click open file location) That’s the location, isn’t it? That’s what I do. Every folder in that area, I tried to click and install this patch but the “Next” button would not light up. Please help me.
@kristoff: The path should look like “C:\SCHOOLDAYS HQ” or “C:\Overflow\SCHOOLDAYS HQ”, depending on where you installed it. If there’s anything after the “SCHOOLDAYS HQ” part, delete it.
@shadowrifle1
@makoto
i have the same problem with the sex scenes they look weird like if they were playing in 2x or dunno somethingh is weird the subtitles are fastar than the scene or the scene is faster than the subtitles.
because i watch the mouth of the characters moving but no subs so if theres a problm i wish you culd tell us how to solve it or if we need a new patch have it soon S;
i also kinda found a glitch where the same escene repeats i will try to take video from it and post it here so you can see whats going on
@Mario: We’ll look into the playback issue you’ve reported.
Makoto, I installed the game last year, I think, which is originally Japanese. I just had the subs from sekaiproject. With regards to the path, I installed this game in my My Documents, so it looks like C:\My Documents\Overflow\SchoolDays and under this folder, there are different folders too (module, PACKS, SAVE, SAVE_JP_BAK) and there’s no SCHOOLDAYS HQ folder here. I tried to make one and direct the installation there, but it still doesn’t work. I really need help. Do you want me to send a picture of how the folders look like?
I stand corrected, the path looks like this C:\Users\USER\Documents\Overflow\SchoolDays
@kristoff: The Sekai Project subs were for School Days, not School Days HQ. Our patch only works with School Days HQ. School Days HQ may be purchased from the JAST USA store.
Can someone answer my question for me as there is no contact us on this site. Is this game School days in English or at least English subs. I want it badly but I need to know if there is English at least English subs. I saw the anime and it was amazing. If someone could let me know asap that be great. Thanks
@Ryan: This game has English subtitles. If you’re a fan of the anime, I definitely recommend picking it up.
Oh! Now I know why its not working! How embarrassing. o_O
Anyway, thank you very much, Makoto, for being very patient and accommodating with my concerns. So I have to repurchase a copy of Schooldays game from you to have the complete English subs even though I already have a Japanese copy from the past? Is that what should happen?
Is there a way to fix screen tearing? Because I’m getting a lot of it.
Also the audio is skipping, every time a new sound is played, it first skips a second in and then plays normally. Which is really annoying, any help is appreciated.
@Warren: Please try updating your video and audio drivers. If that doesn’t work, open a support ticket at help.jastusa.com and we’ll see what we can do.
I have a problem at the end of chapter 3, after the credits nothing appears or the option to save the screen goes black and I have to use the task manager to close the game and I hope you can help me
@raul: Which ending for chapter 3? And does it always happen?
I can’t save the game. How do I fix it?
@Rence: Please try running as administrator.
@Makoto: Thank you very much for helping me!
I seriously disliked the intro playing before each act. Just spoilers IMO is there a setting to remove it though?
@Johan: Sorry. There does not appear to be a way to disable the intro. When ordering the collector’s edition, you shouldn’t need to check the box.
If I order the game (standard edition, for shipping), will I still need to patch it? Or will it come already patched? Also, what shipping method do you use? And I read on some other page for this game that some people were complaining that the choices were off (ex. they would choose ‘ignore call’ and the next day someone would say ‘thanks for calling last night), is that fixed?
@Sekai: Physical copies of the game are currently unpatched. They will be patched starting from the next print run. A number of gameflow issues have been fixed. That example is one of them.
Okay thanks! Do you know when the next print run will be approximately?
Ok so my School Days HQ just uninstalled itself! Even after I installed the 1.02 patch on top of it. I’m reinstalling it now…
@SekaisWorld: When you say it uninstalled itself, you mean the data just vanished from your hard drive? Maybe check to see if your antivirus is picking up a false positive.
Guys, have any / h code for AGTH for this version of the game, in this case, to 1.02?
@Warlock: According to http://agth.wikia.com/wiki/H-codes, the H-code for School Days HQ appears to be /KF32:16 /HQN30@43B66B. If it’s different for our version 1.02, I’m afraid I don’t know how to help you.
I ordered the physical copy January 28th. Any idea when I will receive it?
Please get the rights for ShinyDays!
