Many people hype up Kinkoi as one of, if not the best moege. Personally, I definitely disagree. It has a solid likable cast of characters. Even characters that start off kind of bitchy like Ria and Mina end up not being too bad by the end. Apparently I'm in the minority but I did not like Reina that much as a character. She does have some cool friend and motherly-like moments, but the main takeaway I got from her is dealing with really annoying random ‘coy’ lewd jokes and teasing. The route quality is super inconsistent. REina's sucks, Akane and Elle's are OK, Sylvie's is kinda boring, And Ria's was fine but kinda predictable and slow-paced. Despite what I've complained about, I do overall consider Kinkoi good, just barely a 7 out of 10. The positives mostly outweigh the negatives, but some of the negatives just pissed me off too much for me to consider any higher.

Objectively its 5 stars. Personally, its four stars. Make sure to play all routes to unlock Ria's route.
The art style and the H-scenes are great. And I also liked how the romance progresses in each of the routes. But that is as far as the pros go. The problems and issues that the characters have to face are too mundane, it's like nothing interesting ever happens in their environment, so it's hard to not get bored at some point. And I also felt that the characters were somewhat shallow. It's a good read overall, but the plot lacks spice and the characters lack depth. I would advise to wait for a sale if you intend to buy it.

One of the great novels of our time. The cover is a bit misleading because you will think that this is a moege. And it is for 80 percent of the time, with excellent H-scenes, but then you should remember that Saga Planets is a subsidiary of Visual Arts. Just believe in your intuition when you feel that the novel is trying to tell or foreshadow something. You might be correct. And it still doesn't matter. the last 20 percent of the story transforms this great moege into an outstanding visual novel on par with some of Key/Visual Arts greatest works. But I do recommend to buy the fandisk "Golden Time" as well for some closure, the ending hits pretty hard.
