Fun rollercoaster. Looking forward to the next installment.
Good but flawed. The Bad: There aren’t many CGs, it’s fairly short (around 6–8 hours to reach all endings unless you want to see every minor variation). Without spoiling too much, the canon route falls apart near the end and undermines the realism that makes the VN compelling—though the ending itself is sweet. Depending on the route, John (the protagonist) can swing from “How could you kill someone?” to “You look so hot covered in blood,” even when the circumstances are nearly identical. The Good: John is a refreshingly pragmatic lead with a backbone and solid chemistry with Lizzie (the poster girl—unstable, unhinged, but clever). The story feels grounded; their relationship, though toxic and codependent, actually makes sense. It all feels like something that could really happen. If you take the good non-canon route, you’ll find one of the best yandere stories I’ve ever read.
